Former Trump adviser and media personality Kimberly Guilfoyle was named national chair of former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens' (R) bid for the U.S. Senate.

Guilfoyle raised some eyebrows when she decided to take a job with the controversial Missouri Senate candidate Eric Greitens, and former President Donald Trump is reportedly "openly griping" about his son Don Jr.s girlfriend and her new line of work.

Politico reported in a newsletter that Trump is "becoming increasingly short" with Guilfoyle, who serves as national chair on the Greitens campaign.

The former president reportedly hates it when he believes people are "profiting off his name," and views Guilfoyle as the "latest offender" of that rule. New York Times Politico, attribution 7/10/21

KIM PREVIOUSLY WORKED FOR FOX BUT WAS FIRED AMID SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMPLAINTS

The news that Guilfoyle did not leave Fox on good terms was first broken by HuffPost, in 2018. Yashar Ali reported that Fox had quietly forced Guilfoyle out after a months-long probe by its human-resources department had revealed disturbing allegations by co-workers, including by her assistant, who had been given a paid leave as the company investigated. Ali wrote that Guilfoyle had denied any misconduct and had fought to stay at the Fox network. Her allies had even mounted an unsuccessful last-ditch attempt to save her job by appealing to Rupert Murdoch, the executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, then the news network’s parent company.

But Murdoch, who had looked past decades of sexual harassment at Fox News, had been persuaded by his sons, Lachlan and James— both seniors in the company—that such misconduct could no longer be tolerated.

Paul Weiss was called in to clean house. A source familiar with the situation saidt that the assistant’s confidential statements were foundational to Fox’s decision to part ways with Guilfoyle. New York Times 7/10/21

Driving the news: Greitens resigned from his post as governor in 2018 amid accusations of corruption and sexual misconduct. An ethics panel cleared Greitens of wrongdoing in 2020, and he's since framed himself as a Trumpian victim of the political establishment.

He's running to fill the seat that will be vacated by Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), who has announced that he will retire in 2022. Former President Trump won Missouri in the 2020 election by 15.4%. (wikipedia 7/10/21)

What he's saying: "I am honored to have Kimberly’s support. Her work on behalf of President Donald J. Trump was unmatched. We know the Democrats will come after this campaign, just like they came after President Trump," Greitens wrote in a press release."

"With Kimberly Guilfoyle as our national chair, I know we have a true fighter that will further elevate this campaign and help us win the support of every Missourian."

You can be sure there will be fireworks from Kimberly from either Don Sr. or Jr. She is too smart and to appealing to not be in the spotlight.
